Relaxing in Sensory

 I love relaxing on the sofa in the afternoon. We do different sensory things but I love to kick off my shoes and grab the fluffy blanket. Sometimes I’m so relaxed I fall asleep. 

Sonic Cinema - Sonic the Hedgehog

 I loved going to the Sonic Cinema with my friends. We watched Sonic the Hedgehog - a movie about a blue hedgehog from space. He could move super fast and had some gold rings that could transport him to other planets. He was pretty funny too. 

Guinness Book of World Records

We were investigating the Guinness Book of World Records in our topics and themes session. We checked out the length of the longest fingernails and moustache in the world and we even tried to break some records ourselves. Someone can stack 48 toilet rolls in a tower in 30 seconds! 

Samoan Chop Suey

 I loved eating the Samoan chop suey made at the centre today. It was lovely weather and we talked about being SunSmart in life skills - we could have been in Samoa! 

Sensory Room

 Check out our new under the sea themed sensory room wall. It’s so cool ...... it’s like we are under water and so relaxing - especially when we have a fish / sea DVD on the TV.

One and a Half Acre Wood Petting Zoo

 I had a great morning meeting animals at the petting zoo. I met two kunekune pigs, some sheep, horses, a goat called Rosie, a cat, some puppies, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, a peacock and a lizard. 

Library Bus Visit

I had an awesome Friday! We had the Tauranga Library Bus come to Wilrose to visit us. I liked looking around at the different books and I got to sit in the drivers seat which was pretty cool. We then made name badges and had a yummy hot lunch of Pumpkin soup and fried bread.
