Christmas Party

I had a fun time at the Christmas party. I loved the cook island dancers - I even got to join in. The food was yummy and we loved talking to our friends from the other centres. 

Salt Dough Xmas decs

We rolled out some salt dough and cut stars and hearts from it. We pushed sparkly blue gems into them and put them in the sun to dry. We are going to decorate them with paint and glitter! 

Drama production

My friends and I went to watch the end of year Christmas drama production. It was funny and we got to sing along to the Christmas carols. I liked seeing my friends on stage.

Paris the pooch!

My friends and I went to the Tauranga SPCA and I got to take a cute dog out for a walk as part of one of my goals, it was fun, check me out.

Operatunity Pantomime

I had a super fun time at the Panto - it was based on the story of Cinderella. The ugly sisters were so funny! We all sang some Christmas songs at the end too!

Friends

I love talking to my friend Matt when he comes to the centre on Tuesdays and Fridays!

Birthday celebrations

My friends helped me celebrate my birthday by some singing and dancing and sharing sausages and my birthday cake!

Sing ........ sing a song

I sang the Carpenters song "Sing" in music with my friend Katiana - we sang and danced together. Everyone joined in with the chorus! 

Road Safety Bear & Pamper day

I enjoyed a fun day when Reuben the Road Safety Bear visited and talked about how to cross the road  - Stop, Look, Listen and Link. Then we had a pamper day for everyone - I enjoyed getting hand massage and my hair done.

Planet earth sensory

I enjoyed listening to the crashing waves in sensory. I was feeling this soft sand and Angie was hiding shells in the sand for me to find, it was really funny!

Pasifika Festival

I enjoyed watching the Pasifika dancers at the festival. We sat in the shade and watched the performance. I liked their moves and instruments and did a slow dance in my chair while the music played. 

Hangi social day

I had so much fun dancing and socialising while we waited for our yummy hangi! I liked it so much I even had seconds. I was nice and full so I relaxed out in the afternoon in sensory.

Planet earth sensory

I watched a cool movie about safari animals. Check out these soft fluffy tigers I liked cuddling while I watched the movie.

Library bus

I had fun going and exploring on the big library bus that visited our centre. There were lots of books to look at inside the bus.

The birdie song

I chose the birdie song in music today - we were all choosing funny songs and this was mine! 

Lifeskills

I love to help out with jobs at the centre. Everyone here has a job to do at the end of the day - it's not normally my job, but I helped out with the vaccuming! Did a good job too! 

Tapa Cloth

Talofa Lava! Ipz came to visit and showed us how to make some Samoan Tapa cloth. We used paper and crayons and scrunched it up before rubbing the colour on. It was so much fun!

My time

I enjoyed chilling out in my time with Irish music. It was such a relaxing time. My friend gave me a nice back rub and it was nice to watch the lights too.

Glow in the dark

What a fun sensory session. I made a giant, glow in the dark necklace and tried out a glow in the dark fidget spinner! Glow-tastic! 

Library

I like going to the library - they have books, magazines and games to play. Sometimes we get out some books and DVDs to take back to the centre.
