Baking Gingerbread

 I spent a morning in the kitchen with my friends baking gingerbread cookies. We rolled out the dough, cut out the shapes and then of course got to try them when they came out the oven. Yummy! I took some home to share with my family. 

Karaoke in the Garden

 We took the speaker out into the garden for karaoke this week and sang amongst the trees and flowers. 

Fun and friendship

 I love coming to Wilrose to see my friends - especially Matt. We have so many laughs, we sing songs together and dance and have lots and lots of fun! 

Collaborative Art

 I added the finishing touches to a painting that all my friends have also worked on. After it dries I will take the tape off and it will hopefully say the word friends!!!!!!!

 I have been to a lot of places this year with my friends - lots of beaches, parks and reserves. I’ve made a picture map to hang on the wall at home. 

Music and dance (with bubbles)

 I love Tuesday Fun and Friendship mornings. We had a music and dance morning and my friend Taylor brought in some bubbles for us all. It was so funny. I had a great time. 

Ferguson park

 I loved spending the morning at Ferguson Park with my friends. It was a lovely sunny day and we bumped into my friend Katie with her new baby - what a surprise! 

Christmas is coming .........

 I know it’s to early to start singing Christmas songs but we have just re-designed our mannequin, Priscilla, in a wonderful Christmas outfit. I sit next to Priscilla at Morning Tea and lunch so I tried on this Christmas Hat. 

Balloon Games

 I had so much fun with some friends playing different balloon games together. There was a lot of laughter from everyone. We played balloon tennis, tried to keep the balloon from touching the floor and used a big blue sheet to bounce the balloons on. 

Cat Art

 I love this neon cat art that we made in Create / Display. It’s so bright and fun! 

Anzac Park

 My friends and I loved checking out a new park to us. Anzac Park is very cool. It has a big swing and a roundabout and lots of grass for kicking balls. 

Dj Spin Disco

 I had the best day when DJ Spin came to Wilrose for the day. We had music, lights, dancing and a yummy pumpkin soup and fried bread for lunch. 

Pilot Bay Beach

 I just loved my morning out with my friends. We went to Pilot bay beach and enjoyed the view. I collected things in my bucket and watched my friends chase the seagulls which made me laugh. 

Tape Resist Painting

 I had a lot of fun making a picture for Stacey.

Both our names start with the letter Sl so Tracey helped me tape out a letter S on some card and I had fun squeezing paint onto it and rolling it out. 

When we took the tape off it looked really cool! 

Haiku Park in Katikati

 I had a lovely time with some friends on a trip to the Haiku Park in Katikati. We enjoyed a stroll and checked out the poems and the bridge over the water. The van ride was exciting too because we had a new music tape with “The Chicken Dance” on it! 

Music quiz

 Yay - I’m so happy to be back at Wilrose after a break at home due to COVID. This morning we had a music quiz. It was so cool to see all my friends and to have a whole morning of music on my first day back! 

Cat/Dog songs and crafts

 I love cats and dogs. We found all the cat and dog songs we could find and played them and sang along to them. We also found cat and dog pictures and made a collage in the shape of a cat face and dog face and made some cat ear headbands. What a fun morning! Meow 

Rock n roll Dance and Pumpkin Soup

 I just loved dancing away at our rock n roll disco. The pumpkin soup and fried bread was pretty good too!     The art room was turned into the party room with music and lights and I enjoyed spending the day with my friends.
