 I had a lovely relaxing time in sensory. So much so I fell asleep 

Friendship and singing

 I love being with my friends at Wilrose and hearing my favorite songs being sung! 

Dancing

 I had a lot of fun dancing to my favorite songs at waiata this week! 

Puzzle fun

 I had fun completing a puzzle today! It had pictures of animals in the sea which I really enjoy.

Singing

It was a nice day so we opened up the big roller door to see the beautiful garden. We sang songs together and laughed / chatted away all morning.

Halloween Disco and Hangi

 I had a great day at the Wilrose Halloween Disco. We had decorations, lights and a whole lot of music. I did a bit of dancing and singing but also enjoyed watching my friends dancing around. The hangi lunch was yummy - we had pumpkin, chicken, potatoes, Kumara and a sausage - all cooked in the hangi pot - yum yum! 

Flowers

Check out these pretty flowers - we picked all the petals off and made a beautiful, colourful pot pouri! It smelled so lovely and looks so nice too! 

Party time

 We had a great time on Wednesday morning. We started with some art then we made pikelets and decorated the tables with flowers we picked. Then we sang songs together! 

Friendship Tuesday

 We have so much fun on friendship tuesdays - we play games, do puzzles, learn new things and socialise with each other. I like to catch up with my friends after the weekend and …… of course …….. have a sing! 

Music and dance

 Anyone who knows me will know that I love music, singing and dancing. Karaoke Tuesday afternoons are one of my favourite times at Wilrose. This week I had a little dance with Linda! 

Crafts - Card Making

 I started to make a card for friend today. It will take a few weeks of work to make it beautiful as I want to add lots of decorations and pictures. 

Pilot Bay

 I enjoyed a short trip to Pilot bay to feed the seagulls some left over bread. I walked from the van to the beach with my friend David and enjoyed watching the birds eat all the bread up! 

Singing

 I love singing. Linda at Arohanui plays the guitar and I enjoyed a singalong of some Māori waiata this week and we all did our pepeha too as it is Māori language week.

Collaborative Art and Te Reo Maori

 We are working on a collaborative art project with a Te Reo Maori theme. “He rau ringa e oti ai” - Many hands make light work! We drew around our hands and coloured them in with designs. 

Karaoke Fun

 Music is my favourite thing at Wilrose. I love singing and dancing with my friends. We’ve all made our own playlists of our favourite songs and when mine come on I sing along and often have a dance too! 

Sensory

 I love relaxing in the sensory room on an afternoon. We play relaxing music, have lovely aromatherapy scents and it is warm and comfortable. I love this colourful blanket too.

Puzzles & games

 I enjoy doing some puzzles at Wilrose. Some of them I can do easily and some are a bit more tricky. When I finish them my friends give me a clap and a cheer! 

Music

 I love music. Each week at Wilrose I sing karaoke songs with my friends. This week we all played musical instruments too. This big drum makes a cool sound! 

Indian themed sensory

 I love my themed sensory sessions. We had an Indian theme recently and dressed up in saris, bindis and I watched my friends have henna tattoos whilst we listened to Indian music. Theres always something different to look forward to.

Disco day

 I had a fun time with all my friends at another Wilrose disco. I loved all the songs and had a few dances with my friends. The pumpkin soup at lunch was yummy! 

I made a cat puzzle out of blocks

 I had such fun making towers with colourful blocks. I also stuck a cat picture onto some blocks to make my own unique block puzzle. It’s so cool ……. Meow!
