Last week for the year

 This week was spent having fun with friends at the centre, singing songs, dancing and I did my puzzles too. See you all again soon. 

Christmas celebrations

 I had a great day singing along at our Christmas performance and celebrating with my friends. I enjoyed my KFC lunch and fresh fruit with ice cream for dessert it was tasty! 

Christmas performance songs

 I have enjoyed being part of the Christmas performance practices. The I singers have dedicated one of my favourite songs to me and I like to dance along while they sing it.  I'm looking forward to our Christmas party next week! 

Getting creative

 I had fun drawing different animals. I drew a horse, fish and a cat. I very happily made each animal sound as we drew them. 

Christmas performance practice

 This week I enjoyed watching the I sing group practice there performance for the Christmas show. I sung along and cheered for them! 

World kindness day

 This week I did a few kindness activities. I looked at pictures to see if it was kind and friendly or not. I was kind and helped my friend glue her picture for her book. I enjoyed talking about kindness with my friends. 

Rose gardens

 I enjoyed going with my friends out in the sunshine to the rose gardens. There were heaps of different colour flowers in bloom. I smelt a few to see what the scent was!

Pamper morning

 I enjoyed relaxing to some soothing music whilst having a pamper morning. I got a small back massage. It made me very happy! 

Olympics day

 I had a really fun time watching my mates at our Olympics day and even had a go at the relay and gumboot throwing! I got a cool medal for my participation. 

Halloween art

 I enjoyed doing a Halloween art page in Twinkl lifeskills with my friends. I chose these cool Halloween stickers to put on my picture! My favourite was the cat.

Purple disco

I had a great time at the purple themed Disco. I wore some purple clothes and enjoyed dancing to the tunes with all of my friends. I liked having some gourmet sandwiches for lunch! Mm mmm.

                                         

Happy Times

 I had fun laughing with my friends today. We played eye spy and sung songs together. 

Kulim park

 I had a great time at Kulim parknwith friends. I loved going for a swing and watching the dogs going for their walks! 

Maori language week

 I've enjoyed maori language week. Listening to new maori words and maori music. I had fun getting involved in some putiputi flax weaving. Check out my cool putiputi.

Olympic art

 Today we created the Olympic rings but cutting out paper. We are going to stick it to a photo frame for our Olympics day. I knew all the colours and signed them. 

3d daffodil art

 I helped to colour this daffodil picture then folded it to create a 3d picture to put into the vase. It turned out awesome. 

Olympic fever

 I've been watching some of the Olympics lately. This week I helped to create these cool medals that will go out when we have our very own Olympics day! 

Putting on the washing

After lunch today I helped to put all the washing in the washing machine. We put the powder in and started it up so it was ready to be hung out at the end of the day! 

Keyboard player

 We were lucky enough to have a guest visitor at the centre who came to play her keyboard for everyone. She played one of my favorite songs "how much is that doggy". It was fun to sing along. 

Waiata with friends

 I always look forward singing waiata with friends. We have been listening and learning a few new songs like E Papa waiari. 

Exploring the Lakes

I had a nice day out exploring the different Parks at the Lakes today, I really enjoyed the swings, and watching the dogs walking past from afar.

 

Matariki disco and lunch

  I had a great day filled with lots of good music at our Matariki Disco day. It was great getting to eat a hangi pot and boil up for lunch. I had a good time with lots of friends.

Planting garlic bulbs

 I was busy this week. I enjoyed putting my gloves on and putting the garlic bulb into soil and covering itup so they will grow. I had fun trying out this new maori wharenui puzzle too. 

Waiata and poi

 I love singing waiata and swinging the poi around to the beat. It's a good way to spend time with my friends.

Soap making

 I enjoyed this weeks Twinkl craft session. We made some lavender soaps. I liked smelling the soap once it was set and it was fun to watch how it was made.
